More about Gir

Gir National Park and lion sanctuary is 65 kms from Junagadh which is also a historical town. Accomodation is at Sasan Gir which has hotels and resorts a plenty to suit your budget. We stayed at the Gir Birding Lodge run by Asian Adventures, New Delhi. This resort is located just next to gate no 2 of the sanctuary & is a delight for the nature lover. Accomodation is in double room cottages and although not the budget type, gives you the real ambience of nature at its best. As the name suggests, good birding is available right on its 35 acre campus! See my review on http://www.oktatabyebye.com/hotels/hotel-reviews-2466-the-gir-birding-lodge-sasan-gir.html#reviews
